Floridians must be registered to vote in the Nov. election by Oct.6

While this isn’t a political blog, the thinking is that people vote with their wallets. And that’s where the money comes in. So if you have a son or daughter who is 18 years of age, or friends, neighbors, new citizens, employees or co-workers that age or older who haven’t gotten around to ever voting, time to register is running out.

Florida residents who want to vote in the upcoming election on November 4 have only 14 days in which to do so.

The Sunshine State requires wannabe voters to have filed the appropriate paperwork 29 days before Election Day. Given that the deadline to register to vote is October 6, that doesn’t leave a lot of time to collect and submit voter registration data.

Every voting year millions of American’s miss out unable to voice their opinion during an elections because they haven’t registered to vote in time. Don’t be one of them.

Voting is a privilege and allows your voice to be heard whether that vote is cast within the political arena or on Wall Street. Although all it takes to vote on Wall Street is to own shares of a publicly traded a stock.

Speaking of Wall Street, stocks have been on a tear given word from the Federal Reserve that interest rates aren’t likely to inch upward until at least next year. But others and I have been saying that for years; the economic recovery isn’t nearly as broad-based or solid as some would like us to believe.

Which brings me back to voting. No matter what political party, race, age or gender you belong to America, Congress, your state and your community wouldn’t be the places they are today without citizens taking time out of their day to register to vote. And then follow through by voting.
