Mickey's Great Piggy Bank Adventure

By Dian Vujovich

So glad Mickey Mouse isn’t a pig. If he were, no way could this get off the ground.

Okay. T.Rowe Price has teamed up with the Walt Disney World Co. to “promote financial empowerment and education for families” through a new program called The Great Piggy Bank Adventure, according to a press release dated today from T.Rowe Price.

This empowering adventure will be a part of the INNOVENTIONS pavilion in Epcot at Walt Disney World in Orlando. Opening is set for May 19, provided no mousetakes.

What kids and their folks are supposed to experience in the interactive exhibits will be lessons on the basics of money. Like, the importance of saving, managing it responsibly and goal setting.

And that’s a good thing as a one-day, one-person pass for those aged 10 and above runs about $75, sans any special deals. Go for a few days and costs for a family of four enjoying Cinderella’s castle, Space Mountain and other park fun spots can easily run into the thousands. Guess it’s not a small world after all when comes to Mickey and money.
